Maison Elama on Dragons' Den Canada
Maison Elama jumped right in the Den to face the Dragons' and pitch their vision of a unique luxury outerwear brand handcrafted in Canada with the finest fabrics.
Two corporate sisters, a CPA and a Chemist, Rim & Rita Elias, quit their jobs to start a luxury outerwear brand named Maison Elama, inspired by haute-couture and the métier of the fur and leather artisans who work magic with their hands to create beautiful pieces that can be passed on to next generations. Our products want to celebrate the Canadian heritage while making pieces that the modern women and men would love to wear.
The Dragon's absolutely loved the Eläma collection so much that Michael Wekerle bought the Walker Parka.
Here is the segment of the Dragon's Den episode.
Dragon's Den is a television show about entrepreneurs. Each week, several fortunate entrepreneurs have the opportunity of a lifetime to pitch their business idea to financiers with the funds and experience to propel their company to commercial success. For the first time, two women join the panel: international beer baroness Manjit Minhas, and the youngest Dragon in the history of the Den, tech titan Michele Romanow. Fashion mogul Joe Mimran also joins franchise king and original Dragon Jim Treliving, along with finance phenom Michael Wekerle.
